Pays a another Rs. 1.4 bn to UDA:
Krrish makes further commitment

Krrish, one of the leading Indian Real Estate Developers who are
building Sri Lanka’s tallest twin Tower multi functional complex has
advanced a further payment of Rs. 1.4 billion.
With the initial payment they made to the Urban Development Authority
(UDA) the Indian company had now advanced over Rs. 2 million towards
this Rs. 10 bilion venture.
The chairman of Krrish group, M. Katyal, visited Colombo yesterday to
handover the bank drafts to UDA and to reiterate his commitments to this
project.
An official from the company said that this amount is paid to UDA as
an advance payment under the MOUs. This demonstrates the commitment of
Krrish Group towards Sri Lanka and particularly towards this prestigious
project.
Asked to comment as to why they decided to select Sri Lanka as their
first overseas venture, he said that with the ending of the war, they
saw tremendous potential in the country. “We are also planning a similar
project in Hambantota soon.
The Krrish Group is now in the process of designing the project and
seeking necessary clearance and approval to commence the construction of
the complex.
The project is expected to generate over 2000 employment
opportunities.
This project will be one of the finest residential and commercial
projects in Asia.
The Krrish group has engaged world renowned architects and other
consultants for development and construction of this project.
The retail mall will be the best brands of the world entering
Colombo.
Krrish group will make the existing heritage building as one of most
sought after luxury heritage resort hotels in this part of the world.

The group also hosted a two day workshop last week with world’s
leading consultants on its board to discuss and finalize upon action
plan to speed up the work progress.
The workshop was also attended by Renaud Dutreil, chairman of one of
the top international fashion brand, who gave his valuable input to the
consultants with regard to the opening of the top international brand
for setting up there stores at Krrish Square.
The consultants present in the workshop were, Atwal Associates which
was represented by Bob Atwal the Principal Architect of the project. |
