AmCham helps needy children through Golf

The 13th AmCham RCGC Golf Tournament was held on recently with 141 golfers participating. It is customary for part proceeds of the Golf Tournament to be channeled towards a worthy cause. During the past years many deserving charities have received substantial donations through this event.

As a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in partnership with the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) together with the Platinum sponsor - NDB bank and the Telecommunication Partner - Airtel Sri Lanka, 223 needy children of the Caddie and Minor staff of the RCGC were presented with school packages containing school requirements which included a school bag, uniform materials, a voucher for shoes, books, instrument box, lunch box, water bottle etc. at a simple function held on December 10, 2012 at the RCGC.

AmCham continues to support Children’s Educational needs as part of its continuing CSR activities.
