Woman on tourist visa nabbed selling phones

A Chinese woman found guilty of selling mobile phones at Katugoda,
Galle was sentenced to one year's rigorous imprisonment suspended for
five years and fined Rs 5,000 by Galle chief magistrate U S Kalansuriya.
The woman in Sri Lanka on a tourist visa was produced before court by
the Galle Harbour Police.
The chief magistrate ordered court officials to send a report of the
case to the Chinese government through its embassy in Sri Lanka and to
hand over the case productions to the respondent aged 52.
Habaraduwa Police also seized Rs 105,760, 60 receipts issued by her
for the sale of mobile phones, US $ 200, Chinese Yen 235 and 10 new
mobile phones from the woman's possession.
