Father socks daughter’s boyfriend

A 17-year-old student, who had gone for a film show with his girlfriend was attacked by the latter’s father . The victim was a student of a well known school in Piliyandala where his girlfriend too studied. Both were students in the commerce stream.

They had gone to watch the film “Daruwane” at a cinema hall in Moratuwa. When the duo were returning after the film the girlfriend’s father had confronted them on the way. He had struck the boy on the ear . The injured student was admitted to the Piliyandala hospital and later handed over to his parents .

The Victim, Taridu Chanaka (17) was a resident of Piliyandala, Thumbowila area.
