Central Province in easy 127 run win

Central Province scored an easy 127 run win over Northern Province in
their Prima under-15 inter-provincial cricket tournament organized by
Sri Lanka Cricket and played at Police grounds, Kandy yesterday.
Trinitian Sanogeeth Shanmuganathan top scored for Central Province
with a hard hit 79 which had 9 fours and 3 sixes compiled off 66 balls.
He was associated in a third wicket stand of 99 with Sylvestrian Malith
Prematillake who made 45.
When Northern Province batted there was no substantial contribution
by any batsmen which made the 262 run target beyond reach.
Off spinner from St Sylvester's College L I Watagoda bowled well to
capture 3 for 20. It was only a few days back he captured 5 for 6 in an
inter-district match for Kandy against Nuwara Eliya as he is showing
good promise for the future.
