First inning win for Kalutara RCMV

An excellent bowling performance by Sandun and Supun (5/16 and 4/6) helped Kalutara, Katukurunda, Roman Cathalic Maha Vidyalaya under-13 cricket team to record a 170 run first innings victory over the Mount Lavinia Lalith Athulathmudali College in their Division three Inter School Cricket tournament match held on Dec. 4 at the Kalutara Esplanade. Kalutara RCMV won the toss and elected to field first.

They skittled out Lalith Athulathmudali College for 58 runs in the first Innings with K. Gayashan 15 and Inshap Kader 11 making only useful contribution for them. Sandun Sandaruwan bagged five wickets for 16 runs and Supun Fernando 4/6 runs.

Kalutara RCMV in reply scored 228 runs for nine wickets with Supun Lakshan 56, Malith Sandeepa Vass 27, Sandun Sandaruwan 20.

Best Bowling for Athulathmudali College came from Sasidu Wickramasinghe 4/24 and Mohomad Aman Kichil 3/57.
