Seasonal celebrations and more

Crescat Boulevard, which is the biggest mall in Colombo, took the
colours of Red and Gold as it dressed itself up for the seasonal cheer
and joining the harmony with everyone else who is celebrating Christmas
in the city.
The shopping mall has geared up with a great line up of events to
suit anyone and everyone. There are the toddlers and there are the ones
who are children at heart and I’m sure they will enjoy what Crescat has
planned for the season.
“We are celebrating 16 years in operation and are the premier mall in
Colombo. We got a five star property next to us, prime apartments and of
course great malls around Crescat Boulevard”, Marlon Adaman said at a
press briefing held at the Crescat premises. Together with Real radio
which will be broadcasting their programmes live from the Boulevard they
will have their seasonal activities that will be going on till December
24. Performances will be made by Sonali Lindsay, Choro Calibre and I
from 12.30pm to 3pm and 7pm to 11pm.
On Christmas Eve they will be starting the music with Dilan and Naomi
with Adagio from 11am, followed by an illusion and magic show from 3pm
and concluding with Dave Free Roberts band at 4pm.
Children will be treated to a host of activities starting on December
11 with art competitions under the theme – Show us what you want
Christmas to be this year - for children between the ages of 8 to 12 and
a craft session for children to make their own Christmas card.
On December 19, children can get their face painted, meet their
favourite cartoon characters, have their photo taken and much more.
Crescat which is under the John Keells Land also owns K-Zone which is in
Moratuwa, and the team mentioned that they will also having similar
activities for the people in that area.
There is good news for the people of Ja-Ela as they will be opening
their second and largest mall (140,000) in Kapuwatte. There will be
Keells Super, retail stores, food court, large car park and children’s
play area. |
