PSC to meet today without CJ

The Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) appointed to investigate the impeachment motion against Chief Justice Dr. Shirani Bandaranayake signed by 117 Parliamentarians is due to meet again at 10.30 am today, according to reports.

It is also reported that the PSC will meet without the Chief Justice’s participation at today’s sittings.

It is also reported that the PSC will meet tomorrow (Thursday) and the Chief Justice will appear before the PSC. The Chief Justice appeared before the PSC at around 10.30 am yesterday and the PSC resumed again after lunch. It was also reported that the investigation continued until 5 pm yesterday.
