PSC probing allegations against CJ sits today

The Parliamentary Select Committee appointed to probe the allegations in the impeachment motion against Chief Justice Dr. Shirani Bandaranayake is to convene for the second time today. The PSC meeting is scheduled to start today at 10.30 am under the chairmanship of Environment Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa.

Chief Justice Dr Shirani Bandaranayake is to appear before the committee today to respond to the charges against her.

The committee will start inquiring into the allegations and responses after today’s sitting.
