First innings win for Rajans

Dharmaraja College registered a first innings win over St Servatius
College, Matara in their under-19 tournament cricket match concluded at
the Lake View grounds yesterday.
Led by Nuwan Karunaratne, Dharmaraja boys skittled out St Servatius
for 170 in their first innings. Dharmaraja College declared their
innings when they were 176 for the loss of nine wickets.
For Dharmaraja College, Arawinda Withanachchi bagged 6 for 25 with
his wily left arm spin bowling. Tharindu Umesh scored an unbeaten 49
runs for St Servatius while Nuwan Karunaratne got 52 for Rajans in the
first innings. St Servatius did well in their second innings to score
218 for the loss of four wickets.
Their skipper Gihan Gimsara scored 80 while his team mates Lochana
Ruwin scored an unbeaten 55 and Yohan Chanuka got 58. Skipper Nuwan
Karunaratne took 2 for 27 and Arawinda Withanachchi 1 for 103. Medium
Pacer Chalana Priyantha took 6 for 58 for Servatius.
St Servatius 170 all out in 72.2 overs (Tharindu Umesh not out 49,
Radika Ashan 31, Gihan Nimsara 24, Arawinda Withanachchi 6 for 25) and
218 for 4 wickets in 34 overs (Gihan Gimsara 80, Lochana Ruwin not out
55, Yohan Chanuka 58, Nuwan Karunaratne 2 for 27, Arawinda Withanachchi
1 for 103).
Dharmaraja College 176 for nine wickets (Rameesh Ranasinghe 15,
