IFS celebrates 15 years of Partnering Innovation in
Sri Lanka :
Sri Lanka ideal for investment - Sorbie

Alistair Sorbie, IFS World Operations President and CEO, said Sri
Lanka is one of the best locations for investments, at a press briefing
in Colombo to celebrate the completion of 15 years of IFS in Sri Lanka.
He told Daily News Business for further investments, Sri Lanka would
be IFS's obvious choice. Sorbie said the major hurdle the company faces
was finding a prime piece of land in Colombo for further expansions.

“When we know our search was over, it was time to put away our maps
and without further ado, we found our first office in 1997 Still Lane,
Colombo. We now have two offices and have expanded from 25 to more 750
brilliant minded people, he said .
Sorbie said,”IFS has had 15 productive years in Sri Lanka. The
business has grown and we are pleased with the operations in Sri Lanka.
The global business and IT landscape is changing. IFS will keep pace
with the rapidly transforming business environment with unmatched
solutions “As a global enterprise solutions provider with a reputation
for agile solutions, innovation and a pioneering spirit, we stepped into
Sri Lanka 15 years ago, looking for bright people with big ideas and we
found them to be splendid over here,
“Sri Lanka operations became a vital part of IFS world throughout the
years and now house the main R & D Center, Global Support Center, Global
Development Services and South Asia Sales & Consulting.”
Sorbie added, “Along this journey, we established and built excellent
relationships with great companies by introducing our flagship product
IFS applications TM which helped all of them to excel in their
businesses. We now have more than 80 prominent companies who have become
part of our success story in Sri Lanka.”
“We have great plans for operations in Sri Lanka. We have bright

Lanka. Today we celebrate our 15 years of operations in the country and
invite you to share our celebrations.”
At the anniversary celebrations Ian Fleming, Managing Director,
Africa, Middle East and South Asia, Jayantha de Silva, Managing Director
Sri Lanka and VP South Asia, Steve Boreham, Director, Consulting and
Support, Ranil Rajapakse, Vice President IFS R & D Sri Lanka were also
present and shared their views during the press conference. |
