Paramount celebrates 20 years

Paramount Print Pack (Pvt) Ltd., with their sister companies Paramount Packing and Paramount Print celebrated their 20th Anniversary at "Paramount Nivasa" recently.

Priyanga Perera, Managing Director of Para-mount Print Pack studied the printing process at the Sri Lanka Institute of Printing, then pursued his printing education abroad, and decided to set up his own printing establishment, with the primary business of supplying sachets for the hospitality industry.

Two years later the company ventured into off-set printing with a single off-set machine and a handful of employees. As the company grew and the demand for hygienic, easy-to-use packaging solutions increased, Sky Paramount was split into two sister companies, namely Para-mount Packing and Para-mount Print Pack (Pvt) Ltd. This enabled customers to differentiate between the company's products easily and also provided a more rounded solution for printing and packaging needs.

Packing

Paramount Packing is the market leader of the sachet packing industry in the island and the Maldives and has won many accolades for the quality and service they provide to their customers.. The products are purchased locally and packed in specially designed sachets depending on the individual customer's requirement. Solutions for liquid packing including jams, sauces, liquid milk and butter. As the demand for condiments increases world-wide, Paramount has also received offers to provide locally produced cinnamon sticks and cinnamon powder to both the local and international hospitality market.

Printing

Paramount Print Pack product portfolio also includes printing of magazines and other reading material, brochures, menus, posters, calendars, annual reports, newsletters and various other promotional materials. The company is equipped with the latest printing machinery in the world, including a five Colour Heidelberg Machine and a Fully Automated Hei-delberg Binding Stitch-Master, which ensures a high quality end product every time. Some of the publications including university prospectuses and magazines on Sri Lanka have also been exported to the United States, Australia and the U.K.

A large label manufacturing company in China has expressed interest for a joint operation with Paramount, which will see more volume of exclusive and specialized labels being printed through the Chinese parent company and Paramount holding the sole dealership for their products in Sri Lanka. All employees are provided comprehensive in-house training, while inbound and outbound motivational training is also included in the annual company calendar. Each employee is also nurtured to work in a team environment and individual as well as team performance is well re-warded. Perera believes this is also one of Paramount's key success stories over the years and has been imperative into bringing the company to where it stands today.
