Tamil Cultural festival

The Central Provincial Tamil Cultural festival 2012 was held in Walapone recently.

A cultural pagent started from the Medavatha area and reached Tamil Maha Vidyalaa at Raagala via the Raagala town was the main attraction of the festival.

Central Provincial Governor Tikiri Kobbekaduwa and Deputy Indian High Commissioner A. Nadaraja were the Chief Guests.

Peradeniya Alumni Reunion January 2013

A reunion of the Peradeniya alumni organised by Peradeniya University Alumni Association will be held on January 6 from 11am at The Lodge, the Vice Chancellor's residence.

A release said it is expected this event to be a forum for the alumni to discuss ways and means to effectively contribute to university and national development.

All Peradeniya alumni are welcome. Contact [email protected] for details and for registration before December 6.

Muslim Law of Succession

Al-Ameen Law Report Vol. V - 1012 English will be launched on December 2 at the Emperor's Room, Hotel Ranmuthu Colombo 3.

The Chief Guest will be Supreme Court Justice Saleem Marsoof PC. Immediate Past President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) Shibly Aziz will be the Guest of Honour.

Ikram Mohamed PC, former President BASL and Wijedasa Rajapaksha PC, MP, present President of the BASL will review the books.

Opening ceremony

The newly built body building centre and the gymnasium of the National Youth Services Council will be opened today at 10am at the NYSC premises.

Youth Affairs and Skills Development Minister Dullas Alahapperuma will be the Chief Guest.

AGM

The Annual Get Together of the Colombo Branch of the Old Boy's Association of Vidyaratha College, Kandy, will be held at the Grand Oriental Hotel, Colombo, on December 1 at 7.00 pm.

Seminar

A seminar organised by ANC Education jointly with the Organization of Professional Associations of Sri Lanka (OPA) on "Finance Business Act and its implications to the Industry" will be held at OPA Auditorium, The Professional Centre, 275/75 Prof. Stanley Wijesundera Mawatha, Colombo 7 today at 6.00 pm.
