Finnish national dies after taking ill

A Finnish tourist who became ill while staying at a tourist hotel in Sigiriya died at the Dambulla hospital on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Tom Warraley, 44.

The post - mortem was held yesterday.

Sigiriya Police are investigating.

Man stabbed to death at wedding ceremony

One person died and another seriously injured in a stabbing incident during a wedding ceremony in Nawadagala, Elpitiya on Monday. The incident occurred following an argument between guests at the wedding.

Elpitiya Police arrested one suspect.

Police are on the look out for the other.

R Sriyananda, 25, of Elpitiya died in the incident. Investigations are continuing.
