Rs 1,200 mn construction material complex for peliyagoda

The foundation stone was laid for the construction of a ‘one-stop’ construction materials complex in Peliyagoda with an investment to the tune of Rs 1,200 million recently with Basil Rajapaksa, Senior Adviser to the President and Minister of Economic Development as the chief guest. The complex would be opened by November 2013.

The proposed Construction City will provide an array of building materials and services under one roof. The State Engineering Corporation would set up this one stop shop. The mega complex would offer 250 shops in a 16 acre area with 500 parking facilities.

This is the first time in Sri Lanka a “one stop” complex of this nature is being built for construction industries. The propose project will provide major benefits to the industry with top branded products available at competitive prices under one roof.
