Revatha Cricket Sixes starts today

The inaugural six-a-side cricket tournament organized by the Old Revathian's Cricket Association will be held at the Balapitiya trainning college grounds today and tomorrow. The organizers invited 34 schools and have limited the participation to the first 24 teams that accepted.

The schools which have confirmed participation are, P de S Kularathna MV, Dharmasoka college, Richmond College, Mahinda College, St Aloysius College, St Servatius College, St Thomas' Matara, Rahula Matara, Sri Devananda College, St. Peters College, Ananda College, Karandeniya Central, Devapathiraja College, St John's Panadura, D S Senanayaka College, Moratu Vidyalaya, S de S Jayasingha, Zahira College, Dharmapala College, Gurukula Vidyalaya, Siddartha College Balapitiya, Royal College Panadura, Rajapaksha MV Ahungalla and Revatha College Balapitiya.

The winning team will receive Rs 50,000 in cash in addition to the challenge trophy while the runners up will take away Rs 30,000. The man of the tournament will recive Rs 7500 and the best batsman and bowler will receive Rs 5000 each.
