Muttiah Muralitharan to help improve Antonian cricket

Legendary Spinner and world test record holder for the highest
numbers of wickets in test history Muttiah Muralitharan will for the
first time get involved in cricket at his old school St. Anthony's
College, Kandy, at a meeting summoned by the cricket wing of the school
at the Fingara Cricket Academy, Colombo on Saturday November 24 at 4 pm
which will be presided over by its President former test spinner Piyal
Wijetunge.
This meeting has been summoned to take steps to improve the standard
of cricket with the involvement of Muttiah Muralitharan in a big way.
A spokesman for the cricket wing said that the involvement of Muttiah
Muralitharan in Antonian cricket in a big way will not only give a
Psychological advantage but also will a tremendous boost.
For the record St. Anthony's College lost their big match to Trinity
College after 26 years in 2012 which was a bitter pill for the Antonian
to swallow. |
