'Nena Guna Weduma Sisu Diriya' programme:
Treat for former war affected children
A large number of Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim students in the North,
East and the NCP who had suffered mental agony and torment as a result
of terrorism had the opportunity to visit important places, participate
in productivity promotion and attitude development programmes, listen to
important lectures and take part in various activities in Colombo during
the last few days.
The programme was organized by the Presidential Social Development
Director's office and the Presidential Secretariat under the national
programme formulated on a concept of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
A press release issued by the Presidential Secretariat said students
from the Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu, Vavuniya, Mannar and Kebithigollewa
Education Zones participated in this programme enthusiastically in a
spirit of co-existence forgetting all communal and other petty
differences. |
