Druvinka Manura Perera recently won the Air Vice Marshal A. B. Soza
Challenge trophy for the most improved and best performance of the year
of the 23rd junior nationals squash championship award Ceremony .
Druvinka, who studies in Grade 7 at Royal College. Colombo 7 has
excelled in many squash events for his age.He represented Sri Lanka at
the Asian Junior Individual Squash Championship in Kish, Iran (under 13)
in 2012 and the same championship held in Amman, Jordan last year.
Apart from that he was adjudged as the most promising junior player
in 2011 at the Royal College Inter House Squash Awards Ceremony 2012.
Druvinka claimed a silver medal in the Boys Under 11 Classic Plate event
in the Milo All Star International Squash Championship 2011 held in
Malaysia and placed sixth at the Indian Junior Open.
