Launch of My Wish Foundation sticker
My Wish Foundation which celebrated its third year since its
inception in August 2009 assisting terminally ill children, has ventured
into yet another project – the launch of a sticker.
The main objective behind the launch of this sticker is to promote
and create awareness among the public and to obtain more funds to carry
forward the many projects lined up for the future. This launch was held
at the Presidential Secretariat on September 18 with the very first
sticker being purchased by Secretary to the President Lalith Weeratunge
who has assisted their foundation in many aspects.
The funds collected from the sale of these stickers would be utilized
towards granting a wish of a terminally ill child at the Maharagama
Cancer Hospital, provide basic necessities to the parent who sit beside
the child day and night with items like clothes, soap, toothpaste or
perhaps a simple meal and also provide them with financial assistance in
the best way possible.
They would like to make an appeal to the public to get involved in
supporting them with the purchase of one or many stickers which in turn
would help in bringing some happiness to a terminally ill child and to
help him or her live a few days or may be a few months longer.
