| Colombo Fort Sambuddhaloka Vihara has
organized a series of pinkamas to mark the 2,600th
Sambuddhatva Jayanthi celebrations at the vihara premises.
The main sponsor for yesterday's religious activities was by
the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd, (ANCL). Here, ANCL
Chairman and veteran journalist Bandula Padmakumara is
placing a Buddha statue at the newly built Vihara Mandiraya
at the temple. Sambuddhaloka Vihara Chief Incumbent Ven.
Prof. Iththademaliye Indrasara Nayaka Thera, Ven.
Witharandeniye Medhananda Thera and Ceylon Electricity Board
Chairman Wimaladharama Abeywickrema were also present.
