Browns Golf Classic 2012:

Air Chief flies high

The Air Force Commander Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama won the Browns Golf Classic 2012 worked off at the Royal Colombo Golf Club recently. The championship was sponsored by Browns and Company PLC Ltd and many enthusiastic golfers took part this year. The Air Marshal overcame young golfers on his way to the title showing great sportsmanship skills.

There were five event categories including Masters’, Seniors’ and three handicap categories played in A, B and C divisions.

Division B - Handicap 10 to 18
Winner : Prashan Peiris-63 nett, Runner-up : W. Priath Fernando-66 nett

Division C - Handicap 19 to 28
Winner : Fazal Hameed -70 nett, Runner-up : Gihan De Silva-71 nett

Winner : Nihal Boralessa -70 nett , Runner-up : Vitus Fernando-72 nett

Seniors’ Division
