Alms giving for Maha Sanga to mark President's birthday

An alms giving for the Maha Sanga will be held on November 25 under the Dolosmahe Dansela programme.

It will be held under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Agrarian and Wildlife Deputy Minister S M Chandrasena, organiser of the Dolosmahe Bath Dansela programme.

The Dolosmahe Bath Dansela programme held from November 19, is organised to mark the birthday of the President and the second anniversary of him being sworn in as the President.

The Dolosmahe Bath Dansela is conducted to invoke blessings on President Rajapaksa. An alms giving is held daily until November 25.

The dansela is held at a special building at Ruwanweliseya premises.

The S M Chandrasena Foundation and Siwhela Buddhists Foundation are organising this programme.

Over one million individuals have been provided lunch under the Dolosmahe Bath Dansela programme, North Central Province Chief Minister S M Ranjith said.
