Special service to issue O/L ID cards

The Department of Registrations of Persons will conduct a special service to issue new identity cards for GCE O/L students today.

This special service will start at 8.30 am at the main office of the Department of Persons Registration, Jawatte for students sitting the examination, but, have not obtained their national identity cards as yet.

Candidates can apply through their respective school principals to obtain identity cards. The Department of Registration of Persons has already informed principals to send the duly filled applications to the department in time, so as to avoid the unnecessary rush. As scheduled, the Department of Registration of Persons will issue identity cards within two weeks for school candidates.
