Arrested with Rs 8 m heroin

Acting on information received, the Police Narcotics Bureau yesterday arrested three foreign nationals, two men and a women and a Sri Lankan with two kilos of heroin in their possession, opposite a hotel in Bambalapitiya. Police said the estimated value of the seized heroin was over Rs 8 million. Investigations revealed that the three foreigners had been to Sri Lanka on nine previous occasions.

They were produced in Aluthkade Magistrate's Court yesterday.
