Murder suspects discharged

High Court Judge Balapitiya A A R Heiyyanthuduwa acquitted and discharged two suspects who were charged by Ambalangoda police for alleged murder of Kotamadura Edwin Mendis of Devagoda, Madampe, of Ambalangoda with an axe on September 19, 1991.

The suspects who were discharged were Muthuwahandi Nimal de Silva first suspect and Kumarawadu Yasaratna of Devagoda, Madampe, the 3rd suspect.

The 2nd suspect of this case died in an accident during the court inquiry.
