Saliya Bandara Dissanayake recovering

Central Provincial Council Chairman Saliya Bandara Dissanayake who was admitted to hospital in a critical condition is now recovering, Kandy General Hospital Director Dr. G. K. Dissanayake said.

Dissanayake, brother of Higher Education Minister S. B. Dissanayke had tried to commit suicide by hanging himself but saved and was hospitalised under critical condition.

He had tried to hang himself at an estate belonging to him at Kottala, Madanwala. A workers' timely intervention had made it possible to take Dissanayake who was in a critical condition to the hospital.

Dissanayake has been moved to Intensive Care Unit.
