Nostalgie02 at AF Kandy

The Alliance française de KANDY presents Nostalgie02, an exhibition of black and white photographs by Kumar de Silva, at its Gallery at No.642, Peradeniya Road, from Saturday (November 17) to Monday (November 26). The inauguration ceremony will be held on Friday (November 16) at 6.30 pm.

"Following its very successful run at the Lionel Wendt in Colombo in June this year, Nostalgie02 will be inaugurated in Kandy under the distinguished patronage of Prof. Ashley Halpé and Bridget Halpé,"says the Director of the Alliance française de Kandy, Dr. Jacques Soulié.

“We are happy to receive this exhibition in Kandy. The reviews have been very favourable and we look forward to sharing the sights and scenes of France, and in black and white too, with our friends here in Kandy. This exhibition constitutes the second part of our Annual Programme Kandy Alliance Photo, echoing the Month of Photography in Paris. Kandy Alliance Photo, commencing in November 2002, featured throughout the years the works of 22 photographers from Sri Lanka, France and USA.”

Nostalgie02 will take visitors through random scenes of Paris and across different parts of France and is open to the public from 9 am to 6 pm on all days.
