Cambio Healthcare Systems is currently one of the largest e-Health
providers in Europe and has its advanced software development center in
Sri Lanka, bringing much deserved acclaim to the country by being
responsible for designing & developing Enterprise Healthcare Solutions
for some of the leading hospitals in Europe.
With the organization’s vision being to create healthcare solutions
to support exceptional care at every stage of a person’s life, Cambio,
under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, recently
donated equipment worth 3 million, that included an Ultra-Sound Scanning
Machine, an Auto Clave, a Suction Machine, a Delivery Trolleys and an
Air-conditioner to the Eravur Base hospital in the eastern province.
These equipment donated to the Maternity ward of the hospital, will
greatly assist doctors in diagnosing and monitoring a number of
different health conditions of the mother and her baby and will also be
helpful to assist with other procedures and treatments that are
required. This in turn will minimize many of the health risks that can
be associated with pregnancy.
Cambio’s Senior Vice President Software Engineering, Göran Sköld,
Director Sushena Ranatunga and Head of Sri Lanka operations, Dharshana
Jayawardena and a team of Cambio employees participated in this
occasion. In addition to donating of this equipment, the staff of Cambio
Sri Lanka also participated in cleaning and painting the Emergency Ward
of the hospital.
The Hospital Director of the Eravur Base Hospital, Dr Faleel,
addressed the gathering at this occasion and thanked Cambio Healthcare
Systems for their generous contribution, which he said will help realize
the hospitals long felt need to provide modern medical facilities for
the Maternity Ward.
He explained that the scanning machine is used to scan the health of
the fetus and will be a reliable assistant for the doctors in their
daily diagnosis needs, and the suction machine which is a special
apparatus for sucking amniotic fluid and oral cavity mucus from infants
born from c-section, will help save infant lives.
He further stated that “We are very grateful to Cambio for giving us
the chance to add this vital equipment to our maternity ward, which will
help to further enhance the quality of care to our patients.” |
