The interactive mobile marketing platform can be used to manage marketing campaigns, competitions, instant win promotions, proof of purchase campaigns, surveys and polls via SMS and mobile video. In simpler terms, the solution turns the standard mobile phone into an interactive terminal for participants to send and receive immediate responses and connect with Unilever Sri Lanka in real time.

“At zMessenger we aim at creating innovative products and services. Each of our offerings share the common trait of harnessing the power of mobile and providing a next generation solution platform that adds value to the business of our clients and partners,” said Jayomi Lokuliyana, CEO- zMessenger.

The integrated mobile marketing platform allows Unilever Sri Lanka to create highly personalized marketing campaigns that allows greater flexibility, versatility and convenience. Considering the current mobile market penetration of 19 million users, the state-of-the-art mobile platform will give Unilever Sri Lanka the opportunity to uniquely reach millions of users at the touch of a button, changing the way brands currently reach consumers. “In order to communicate effectively and build a relationship with our consumers, we need to be where they are.

The communications landscape has evolved from an era dominated by newspapers and radio broadcasts into a highly vivid, instant and interactive landscape.

Therefore we also need to change the way we communicate and interact with our consumers,” said Channa Tennakoon, Communication Channels Manager, Unilever Sri Lanka. “Meaningful partnerships are the foundation for success and our partnership with zMessenger is such a partnership,” he further added.

zMessenger is one of the first companies to be granted direct gateway relationships with the country’s mobile carriers. zMessenger, the first to introduce SMS to media stations in Sri Lanka, has expanded the business rapidly by working closely with clients who wanted to learn about mobile and understand how to effectively reach and influence their consumers via the evolving, dynamic and ultra-personal mobile channel.
