Bernard Perera passes away

Former St. Anthony's College Katugastota and Sri Lanka Board President's XI cricketer Bernard Perera passed away, yesterday.

He was selected 'School Boy Cricketer of the Year' in the early seventies and was the second Anthonian to be selected after W Premaratne. He went on the rebel tour to South Africa under Bandula Warnapura in 1982. He was functioning as the District Cricket Coach at the time of his death.
