Lanka participates in CBRN symposium
The Second International Symposium on Development of CBRN – Defence
capabilities was held in Berlin from October 22 to 24 under the auspices
of the German Interior Ministry and support of the Federal Ministry of
Defence. The symposium was organised to acquire worldwide attention and
priority for the protection against the effect of chemical, biological,
radiological and nuclear hazards (CBRN).
The symposium focused on the establishment of extremely demanding
interdisciplinary designed procedure and techniques in the context of
crisis management, leadership organisation, civilian and military
organisation for the protection of civilian and military personnel from
the effect of CBRN hazards. Security Forces Jaffna Major General
M.Hathurusinghe and ambassador Sarath Kongahage participated in the
symposium. Including the high-ranking guests, over 1,000 international
guests from 50 countries participated. |
