Surprise award for Ratnasiri at Upahara ceremony

A special Upahara ceremony to felicitate Raigampura senior citizens, organised by the Horana Divisional Secretariat, was held at the Divisional Secretariat auditorium recently.

Good Governance and Infrastructure Facilities Senior Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka was honoured with the Raigampura Detu Purawasi Sammana for his services to Raigam Koralaya. Senior Minister Wickramanayaka who was the Chief Guest was unaware of the felicitation until the last moment.

The minister and his son, Kalutara district Parliamentarian Vidura Wickramanayaka, were surprised when he was presented the award. Members of Elder's Societies in the Horana Secretariat Division also received gifts. The gifts were handed over by the Senior Minister.
