Ranaviru Gammanaya opens in Wadduwa

National Housing Development Authority Chairman Jayantha Samaraweera
said that the Housing Authority has spent 533 m rupees to construct
houses in the Kalutara district this year. He was speaking at the
opening of the Dharmapura War Hero Housing Complex at Mestiya in Wadduwa
recently.

He said that the complex was erected under the Janasewana housing
project according to the instructions of Housing Minister Wimal
Weerawansa by spending 3,000 m rupees and that it was erected to
commemorate war hero Dharmasiri Gunatilleke of Mestiya, Wadduwa who died
in the battle front in the war against the LTTE.
Twenty one houses have been built in this Ranaviru Gammanaya by the
National Housing Authority.
The Chief Incumbent of the Mestiya Sunethrarama Viharaya Ven
Badalkumbura Somananda Thera delivered the anusasana. Brigadier Mahinda
Mudalige the General Manager of NHDA, U D C Jayalal Kalutara District
Secretary and Dharshanie Senaratne District Manger of the NHDA also
spoke. |
