Mysterious death of Lankan in Qatar

A man who worked in Qatar since May 19 this year was found dead. His body was sent to Sri Lanka on October 29 and the funeral held on October 31.

According to the death certificate sent from Doha, Qatar, the man died on August 12 following multiple injuries inflicted by a blunt weapon.

The victim Weerakoon Rathnayaka Mudiyanselage Pradeep Kumara, 33, was a resident of Gonapola, Horana and a father of two. The body was sealed when it was sent to Sri Lanka. However, his wife, H A Hemamali Gunathilake said she had doubts about her husband's death.

She said both her children are going to school and she hasn't any source of income.
