NAPSL Exhibition

National Association of Photographers-Sri Lanka (NAPSL) has organized to open their third international exhibition of photography on October 25 at the National art Gallery, Colombo.

This exhibition is held with the patronage of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) and the recognition of the Photographic Society of America (PSA). Out of more than 1000 entries received from 22 countries, 165 entries have been selected for the exhibition. As in their 30th anniversary international exhibition held in 2010, digital entries were called and digital projected image system was used to select the images for this exhibition too. NAPSL is the first Sri Lankan photographic association to employ this latest technology in photo judging.

Madhu Sarkar a veteran Indian photographer and two Sri Lankan veteran photographers, Bandu Gunaratne and Henry Rajakaruna served in the panel of judges of the exhibition. Wimal Amaratunge, Exhibition Committee Chairman and Dilan Ratnapala, Exhibition Secretary coordinated the event. Main sponsor of the exhibition was Metropolitan Office (pvt) Ltd., local agents of Canon photographic equipment in Sri Lanka.

Exhibition will be open to public from October 26 to 29 at the National art Gallery.
