LG Optimus 'L' Series released
The L LG Optimus series comprises the Optimus L3, the Optimus L5, the
Optimus L7 and the truly 'mind blowing' Optimus 4X HD, which is also the
flagship smartphone, the pride & joy of LG.
Remember when you boasted you had the smallest phone Now the
arguments are on who has the slimmer phone, the bigger screen & best
battery life. Smartphones are essentially mini computers. They suck the
life out of your battery. But, they are amazing. Watch movies, listen to
music, browse the internet and record videos. smartphones are here to
stay. The L series smartphones display much attention to detail. 4
different screen sizes (from an ample 3.2' screen to the 'panoramic'
viewing 4.7" HD screen on the Optimus 4X) enable more screen real estate
to take notes with QUICK MEMO (unique to the L series), while on a call
- So, your finger is the pen, the smartphone your paper.
The four 'soldiers' of the LG Optimus L series are powered by large
batteries, so you can get through a full work day on a single charge.
The 4X HD absolutely decapitates the competition with a 1.5GHz QUAD
CORE processor. An affordable, stylish device. The L3 offers a large
all-work-day-long 1500mAh battery and a nifty 3MP camera. The 4.0"
Optimus L5 is excellent. It runs on the 'tasty' ICS 4.0.3 operating
system and has a snappy 5MP camera and LED.
The 'big boy' club - the ICS powered L7 has a 4.3" Corning Gorilla
Glass protected display (like the L5 and the 4X HD) and it still easily
slides into your pocket.
It also has a feature rich 5MP camera & LED, a 1,700 mAh battery to
fuel your smartphone addiction.
Apple expected to debut 'mini' iPad
Apple on Tuesday is expected to pull back the curtain on a "mini"
version of its iPad to battle Amazon and Google in the hot, crowded
arena of tablet computers with smaller screens.
As is its style, Apple has remained mute regarding what it plans to
unveil at the media event, which will be held in the California city of
San Jose in the heart of Silicon Valley.Invitations bore only time and
location details along with the message "We've got a little more to show
you." However, rampant rumor fueled by industry insiders foretells the
arrival of an "iPad Mini" priced from $ 249 to $ 399. "I don't think
they have any choice," said independent analyst Rob Enderle of Enderle
Group in Silicon Valley.
"The reality is that the smaller tablets seem to be much more popular
because they are lower priced and easy to hold."
Apple set the tablet computer market ablaze with the first iPad in
early 2010 and stuck with its 9.7-inch (24.6-centimeter) screen while
rivals introduced lower-price tablets with screens closer to
seven-inches (18 centimeters).
Amazon's seven-inch Kindle Fire proved popular last year, and a new
version was launched last month.
Meanwhile, a Google Nexus 7 powered by Android software joined the
Samsung Galaxy in the seven-inch tablet market. With Kindle and Nexus
tablets starting at $ 199, Apple will be forced to keep its price low
for its new model and "will not have its normal profit margin," said
Roger Kay, a consultant and analyst with Endpoint Technologies
Associates.
Some blogs say Google may come out with a tablet as low as $99.
"Apple is kind of late to the market with a small tablet," Enderle said.
"This is the first launch of a product that is all Tim Cooks' but it
is a very crowded arena with prices hard for Apple to meet."
