Pharma Week in December

The 'Sri Lanka Pharma Week' organised by the largest pharmaceutical
industry event organiser, CPhI, part of the worldwide UBM group, in
collaboration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Sri Lanka (PSSL) is
expected to take place in Colombo during December, 2012.
The 'Sri Lanka Pharma Week' will include a set of three consecutive
conferences which will discuss evolving factors affecting the local
pharmaceutical industry and its future. During the Pharma Week,
Conferences will particularly highlight the evolving issues of
Bioavailability and Bioequivalence Requirements, Pharma Medical
Detailing Force Effectiveness and Automation and Supply Chain and
Distribution. The event will see the participation of number of local
and foreign representatives in the respective industry and will be a
good opportunity for the local pharmaceutical fraternity to participate
in this vital knowledge sharing event.
The Pharmaceutical Society of Sri Lanka (PSSL), President, Shalutha
Athauda said, "The Pharmaceutical sector in Sri Lanka was going through
changes in terms of regulation and operations. All stakeholders who are
professionally involved in the different functions of the industry, need
to upgrade their knowledge and this is our sincere effort in providing a
platform to gain awareness of global standards, by collaborating with
expert global organisations. Speakers at the event explain why Sri Lanka
is an important market and this knowledge and content rich programme is
a must - attend for the industry as it strives to drive change and
evolve itself."
The Pharmaceutical Society of Sri Lanka is the professional body of
pharmacists in Sri Lanka with over 1,000 members. This society is
committed to uplift the professional and ethical standards of the
pharmaceutical sector in Sri Lanka.
