Joseph Vaz in first innings win

Joseph Vaz college, Wennapuwa had to be satisfied with a first innings win of 120 runs against Gurukula Vidyalaya, Kelaniya in their inter-schools under 19 cricket match worked off at Wennapuwa.

Resuming at 164 for 4 on day two in reply to Gurukula total of 132 Joseph Vaz piled up 252 runs with Primash Obris scoring 57 runs while Namal Pathum and Roshan Anuradha claiming 3 for 43 and 3 for 63 respectively for the visitors. In their second essay visitors did much better to score 172 runs with Skipper Nalin Perrera making 65 runs and Kasun Vidura claiming 5 for 62 for the homesters.
