Investors, industrialists commend govt’s development drive
A cross section of investors and industrialists in Sri Lanka
commended the government‘s multi-faceted approach to develop
infrastructure facilities in the country to attract more investments.
They said new business opportunities are being created for them with
the massive development drive being implemented by the government with
the end of the 30 year conflict.
These observations were made by investors and the industrialists at a
discussion at Temple Trees under the patronage of President Mahinda
Rajapaksa to obtain their views for the preparation of 2013 budgetary
proposals on Thursday. Investors and industrialists covering all parts
of the country participated.
They also commended the government for introducing tax concessions,
new investment areas for them. The Government's initiative to provide
more facilities for the entrepreneurs was also lauded by them. Senior
Minister of International Monetary Cooperation Dr. Sarath Amunugama,
Ministers Gamini Lokuage, Geethanjana Gunawardena, Secretary to the
President Lalith Weeratunga and Finance and Planning Ministry Secretary
Dr. P.B. Jayasundera were also present. |
