Training seminar
A training seminar on Enhancement of Quality and Productivity in
Laboratories will be conducted by the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon at
the Plastics and Rubber Institute of Sri Lanka, Rajagiriya on October
18.
The seminar will provide modern concepts on enhancement of quality
and productivity in laboratories to managers, industrialists,
researchers and executives dealing with laboratories and also for those
who intend to venture into these fields.

Commemorative ceremony
A commemorative ceremony to mark International Children's and Elder's
Day and Teachers' Day, organised by the National Savings Bank, Gampaha
main branch, will be held at the bank branch complex today at 2.30pm.
Principals, teachers and students in - charge of school branches
operating at Ratnavali Balika, Bandaranaike MV, Siddhartha Kumara
Vidyalaya, Keppetipola Senarath Maha Vidyalaya and Sri Bodhi Vidyalaya
will receive special awards at the ceremony.
The student who obtained the highest marks in the Gampaha district at
the Grade 5 scholarship examination will also be rewarded at the
ceremony, NSB Gampaha branch manager Tyronne Gomis said.
Dance programme
Nirthana School of Dance will present a dance programme at the
Ramakirshna Mission Hall on October 6 at 5.30pm.
