Another 210 errant traders brought to book

Legal action has been taken against 210 errant traders and one milk powder importer who sold infant milk powder and cement at higher prices than the stipulated controlled price.

Co-operatives and Internal Trade Minister Johnston Fernando said legal action had been initiated against 150 errant traders and one milk powder importer for fleecing consumers by selling infant milk powder at a higher than the maximum stipulated retail price.

The CAA flying squad also detected 60 errant traders who sold cement at a higher price during recent raids.
