Murder of doctor: five suspects re-remanded

The five suspects held in connection with the murder of Dr Priyanka Prasad Jayasinghe of the Karandeniya District Hospital were re-remanded until October 15 when they were produced before Balapitiya magistrate Asanga Bodaragama on Monday.

The CID which produced the five suspects said the case record had been sent to the Attorney General and they were awaiting his report to serve the indictment.
