Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa, announced the launch of the new Nokia 808 PureView smartphone with revolutionary 41 MP sensor with superior Carl Zeiss optics and Dolby Headphones and Dolby Digital Plus technology, bundled with a special competition for all customers of Airtel Lanka who purchase the new smartphone from any Airtel Brand shop or authorized Softlogic distributors located across the island. Three winning entries selected by an eminent photographer and the winners will get reimbursed the entire cost of purchasing their Nokia 808 PureView smartphone.

"At Airtel Lanka we constantly seek to delight consumers by offering them the latest technology, products and services, backed by our superior after sales service and extensive customer service outlets located across the country," said Suren Goonewardene, CEO/MD of Airtel Lanka. "In this instance not only are we offering consumers one of the most technologically advanced smartphones but we are also giving three lucky customers a chance to obtain this device free of charge through a very simple competition."

"We are very happy and proud to launch this product with Airtel Lanka," stated Ashish Kohli, Nokia Business Manager Sri Lanka. "This strategic tie up marks our first venture into the smartphone market and we are proud to partner with Airtel Lanka for it. Nokia has always been known for its imaging legacy" The Rs. 499 Post paid smart phone plan comes with 75 Airtel to Airtel minutes, 75 Airtel to other operator minutes, 100 SMS's and 2 GB of data per month, free for the first six months.
