WH blasts Romney's comment
US: The White House said Tuesday that Barack Obama strove to be
president of all Americans, not just those who voted for him,
capitalizing on Mitt Romney's dismissal of half of the US electorate.
Obama's spokesman Jay Carney responded to the Republican nominee's
comments in a secretly filmed video taken at a fundraiser for rich
donors in which he said 47 percent of Americans backed the president
because they see themselves as victims.
"When you're president of the United States, you are president of all
the people, not just the people who voted for you," Carney said. AFP |
