Facets 2012 inaugurated

The 22nd International Gem and Jewellery Show 'FACETS 2012' was inaugurated yesterday, with a host of foreign buyers attending the event at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre. The event being conducted since 1991. Organizers say this year exhibitors have increased by more than 50 percent and the show has smart new booths displaying a greater variety of fine gemstones and exquisite Jewellery.

The exhibition has 154 booths and profile for exhibit includes precious and semiprecious gems, jewellery, lapidary and machinery items, fashion accessories and lifestyle products, gold and silver-plated base metal jewellery, crystal, cubic zirconia, rhinestone jewellery, fashion watches, belts and buckles.

The show concludes on September 8.
