LANLO to invest Rs. 350m to up grade plant

Lankaloha Hardware Limited, (LANLO) the former Ceylon State Hardware Corporation has invested Rs. 350 million to up grade their plant to meet current demands.

Mumtaz Siriwardane, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director said that currently there is a construction boom in Sri Lanka which has resulted increase demand. "In addition due to our superior quality there is also an international demand and we would also be looking at this market in the future," he added. The company has reached tremendous heights, achieving greater sales and market share.

She said that the one of the key successes for them is that they only use ISO certified raw material hand picked and imported form South Africa.

"We also maintain high quality during all stages of production," she said. The company has continuously modernized its production facilities to ensure high quality products by introducing state of the art technology.

"Further we have expanded the distribution facilities and we maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. This has enabled the company to maintain a steady growth and gain a competitive edge."

She also disclosed that they would also look at anew product range in the future.

The company also manufactures a range of agricultural based hardware marketed under the brand name LANLO. The company also exports to the Middle East and Maldives, while its clientele in Sri Lanka includes leading hotels, government institutions and leading supermarkets.

The financial injection for the Lanlo expansion was made possible with Dave Tractors purchasing Lankaloha Hardware Limited. Over the years, Dave Tractors has reached tremendous heights, achieving greater sales and market share, gaining Islandwide recognition and enhancing its products and services.

"The profits generated from Dave tractors were re invested with Lanlo," she said.

Today, Dave Tractors enjoys being one of the largest tractor importers' in the country. It is the only company in Sri Lanka which markets the entire range of agriculture products under one roof. The entire office works in a sophisticated computer environment using the SAP software package and it offers an unmatched customer service with 24 hour on call service teams.

"Our expanded horizons will enable our clients to accelerate into the future and meet tomorrow's challenges."
