Piushan, Harsha lead Rahula to seven wicket win

Ninety four runs from 101 balls with thirteen boundaries and two
sixes by Piushan Kulathunga captain of the Rahula College under 17
cricket team and an unbeaten 58 from 36 balls with three boundaries and
four sixes by vice captain Harsha Rajapaksha saw Rahula college Matara
register a seven wicket win against Dharmaloka college Galle.
The under 17 division one second round match was played at the Sri
Sumangala College grounds in Hikkaduwa last Sunday.
Vidyaloka batting first scored 211 runs for the loss of nine wickets
in their 50 overs. Vidyaloka skipper Sanju Sharuk Jayasekera was
unfortunate to miss his century by two runs when he was caught andbowled
by Dakshina Trishan for 98 scored from 139 balls. His inningsconsisted
of eight fours and a six.Sahan Hendawitharana and Dakshina Trishan
captured two wickets each. The Rahula openers Kalana Hasanga 40 and
skipper Piushan Kulathunga put on 113 runs for the first wicket in 130
balls. Number three batsman Harsha Rajapaksha joined his captain and put
on 76 runs from 65 balls for the second wicket to lead Rahula to a seven
wicket win in 36.1 overs.
