The story is about three youngsters and close-friends, Akila, Shenal
and Kavindha coming from different social backgrounds and status with
their parents, siblings and others involved in their lives.
Their individual family background, different social status and faith
have a strong influence amongst these three individuals when they face
their challenge of career and independence after leaving school.
This teledrama highlights the issues faced by youth in this era with
social-economic status, difficulties faced emotionally, and problems
which lead them towards isolation and misery.
Ahas Gawwa eventually leads our audience into finding happiness by
understanding mutual relationships and the value of true friendship in a
fast changing and challenging society.
Akila, Shenal, and Kavindha are friends from school, however with
time they became even closer since completing school as they live in the
same housing scheme.
Akila stopped his education and found an employment due to the demise
of his father, while his sister Maneesha’s husband too suffered a tragic
death, she moves in with him and their mother.
Because Maneesha is quite irresponsible person, conceited and jovial,
Akila took the responsibility to take care of her daughter Maaya.
Since completing school Shenal starts his life as a Sales Executive,
working hard to achieve his future dreams.
Kavindha on the other hand is a University student, coming from a
good middle-class family, he also gets the opportunity to do his higher
studies.
Kavindha’s father ‘Nihal’ is a Government Officer, while his mother
‘Anoma’ is a Teacher.
Nihal’s colleague at office is Gopal Ramakirshnan, while Gopal is
looking for a house to purchase, he seeks the guidance of Nihal to find
a suitable house to live in with his wife and daughter, and eventually
they find a house opposite Nihal’s house where his son Kavindha falls in
love with Gopal’s daughter Saradha. Ahas Gawwa is telecasting on
