Rs 7.7 m gold hidden in person

A man who attempted to travel to India with 1.201 Kg of gold biscuits hidden in his person was arrested by BIA Narcotics Bureau officers on Monday.

The suspect, a resident of Nagavillu, Palavi, Puttalam was arrested on suspicion at the BIA while he was about to travel to Bangalore on a SriLankan Airlines plane and the gold found hidden in his person. The gold had been modified to look like batteries the Police said.
